Privacy Policy

This page describes how we collect and use information from visitors to this website.

Purpose of Data Collection

We use data collected by this website primarily to make this site and our business more useful to our customers. For example, we may customize the appearance of the site according to your preferences or past selections, provide you a login enabling you to use this site to interact with us, use aggregate usage data to help us improve how the site functions, etc. We may use contact information supplied by visitors to follow up on actions taken on the site, or provide other useful information.

Collection of Data

We collect information about our users in three ways: directly from the user, from webserver logs, and using cookies.

Directly from the user

When you fill out a form on this site, the data may be stored in our database. Also, we may enter data provided by other means, such as email, telephone, written communication, etc., into our database.

Webserver logs

Our webserver automatically records information about visits made to our site, such as:

  • the internet protocol address of the visitor;
  • the date and time of the visit;
  • which pages were accessed;
  • the web page or email from which the visitor came to our site;
  • the kind of computer or web browser that was used.

Cookies

Cookies are an internet standard format used by web browsers to store small bits of data from websites, and return that data to the website when loading subsequent pages. They are commonly used for such purposes as logging into websites, storing preferences, tracking the sequence of pages viewed, etc. Most cookies, including those used by this site, do not contain personally identifiable information. Instead, they may contain a number or key that the webserver can use to look up information that has been stored privately.

You may configure your web browser to reject cookies, or may delete cookies that have been stored in your browser. However, many websites will not function properly without the use of cookies. For example, logging into your account and ordering legal documents on this website require the use of cookies.

Protection of Personal Information

We take appropriate security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access. However, we cannot guarantee that unauthorized persons will always be unable to defeat our security measures.

Sharing of Data

We do not share, rent, or sell any personally identifiable information about our users without the consent of the user, except as otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy or on the page where it is collected, or as required by law. We may share aggregate data, not containing any personally identifiable information.

We do not share information collected from clients of EVN Law except as stated in this Privacy Policy. We may share information collected from persons who are not clients of the firm with our industry partners unless and until they become clients of the firm.

We may disclose necessary information to agents, vendors, or contractors, in connection with services they provide to you on our behalf.

Data collected on this site may be used on other websites owned and operated by us.

We may disclose data we have collected in connection with the transfer of our business assets (for example, if we are acquired by another firm), or if we believe in good faith that sharing the data is necessary to protect our rights or property.

Policy Changes

If our information practices change in a significant way, we will post the policy changes here.
